The Client

Schimenti Construction has been hailed as one of the region's leading general contractors.  National retail and commercial clients continually rely on them to meet - and exceed - their schedules, specifications and budgets on each project assigned.  Over the years their result-driven construction has helped build successful relationships with some of the most prominent names in retail.  TJ Maxx, Bed Bath & Beyond, Dress Barn, Target, Kohl's, GAP, and Best Buy, to name a few, are whom they have worked with.

With a staff exceeding 100 trade professionals, a field-tested project management program (X Management System) and a sound business model, Schimenti has created a proprietary construction process that delivers exceptional results - project after project.

The Challenge

With a history and reputation that Schimenti Construction delivers, they needed an equally as stable website.  Their situation was unique; they had an older flash developed website without a content management system and recognized a need to upgrade to something more fit for their needs.  They needed a functional website that could be 100% maintained by any and all of the Schimenti internal team.  Another primary concern was for end users to have a seamless experience from mobile devices and tablets.  

Our Approach

This project gained the attention of Management of Schimenti very quickly as they were under a short timeline and demanded expedited results.  We took this directive as an opportunity to develop a strong business relationship by understanding their needs and not missing any pertinent requirements.  We planned for a collaborative wireframe and UI (User Interface) / UX (User Experience) discussion to grasp the vision of Schimenti.  We planned to build the site on our OnSite Content Management System that would enable the flexibility of controlling every aspect of the front-end.  Our team also determined that there would be internal Newsletter and Press Release databases that could be aggregated to other areas of the front end for increased user interaction.

The Result

Schimenti Construction was delivered a fully functional and self-managed website build on Cre8tive Inc.'s OnSite CMS.  The build featured alternate front-end experiences for flash and non-flash enabled browsers.  This accommodation preserved the user experience for those visiting on a browser that supported the flash slider on the main page.  The OnSite CMS allowed Schimenti Construction to control all pages of their website as well as create new pages and subpages with structured layouts.  The front-end was designed with a simple but strong look that embodied Schimenti Construction's complete vision and exceeded their expectations.
